Iris 009

Glasses with progressive lenses were an invention of the late 1960's but it took almost a decade before they really became popular. The first progressive lenses were rather primitive, with a narrow, abrupt transition zone. In addition, they were twice as expensive as the traditional bifocal lenses
Progressives are always an amusing novelty for young models. Here Iris is looking at her court photographer through the transition zone of the progressive lenses. It takes those who first use progressives in daily life a week or two before they get used to these lenses. No such problem for Iris who manages a comfortable pose in standing position, with two helping hands for stability against the solid walls of the alley.
