Much is written about the growing numbers of young people in need of bifocals as a result of their excessive use of modern communication devices held far too close to the eyes. This may be the case abroad but not in the Netherlands. I only remember a couple of sightings and there may have been a different reason why these girls needed bifocals. Most of my younger models are not familiar with bifocals and they often find it an amusing experience. Here Iris is checking the magnification by the reading segments in Yves St. Laurent glasses from the late 1980's.
