These classic Christian Dior glasses from the Golden Era are not quite complete. They came with two pieces of plastic that could be clipped on the front of the frame. I acquired these glasses 25 years later and the pieces of plastic were still in the box. However, the plastic was dried up and cracked beyond repair. I clearly remember seeing Dior glasses like these in the streets when they were new. Many ladies bought the pieces of plastic in several colors and this enabled them to adjust their glasses to their outfit of the day. It was yet another aspect that made Dior glasses stand out among the products of their competitors. The first owner of the pair shown here by Nadya only had one pair of clips. The color was ochre, indicating that the glasses were made around 1977.
