Earlier in this photo shoot, Iris was showing a pair of Da Vinci glasses called "Doris". Here she is posing in another pair by Da Vinci called "Ines". Iris was clearly pleased with her looks in the "Ines" glasses, saying "What a pity that they don't make glasses like these anymore!".
These "Ines" glasses were put on the map five years ago by a highly experienced model called Carla who also used them during the catwalk at the opening of my first exhibition with "Ladies behind crystal veil" in 2010 (see You Tube Lentilux). Ideally suited to blondes, these glasses were also featured in my photo shoots with Elena (024), Margriet (024) and Esther (074).
The lenses in the "Ines" glasses are a bit stronger than Iris' own prescription and there is also the problem of a correction for astigmatism. As a result, Iris did not enjoy perfect eyesight but this did not bother her at all. During my photo shoots, most glasses only rest on the model's nose for one or two minutes and we take frequent short breaks so that the model's eyes can relax.
A word of thanks is due to Carla who was the first to pose in the "Ines" glasses. We still meet occasionally and last week she presented me with two pairs of Zenni glasses. They are of no use to her anymore after undergoing laser surgery. If all goes well, these glasses will be shown in future photo shoots.
