"Venus" - a planet, a symbol for a woman, and also the name stamped on one of the most stylish glasses in my collection. I have no clue about the brand and no memory of any sighting either. The glasses were a buy at the "Waterlooplein" flea market (Amsterdam) in the late 1980's. The colors are lovely but it's the frame shape and especially the eyebrow line that makes these glasses unique. The lenses were badly scratched, indicating that their first owner used them full time for a number of years. When Iris kindly agreed to do a photo shoot with me and sent her prescription, "Venus" was the first pair that sprang to my mind. The Rx of the lenses would be perfect for Iris and the frame might be a good match. During the selection process, Iris chose the "Venus" glasses straightaway and she was absolutely right!
