These beautiful vintage cat eye glasses by Minerva were among the first finds when I started collecting glasses in my student days. They were bought at the "Waterlooplein" flea market in my native Amsterdam for the princely price of one guilder. Four decades later, I still regard the Minerva glasses as a cornerstone under the collection. It's one of the best examples of the cat eye glasses that were seen in the streets of Amsterdam around 1960.
