In my vocabulary, the 1990's and 2000's (or more precise, the time from 1989 until 2009) were the Dark Ages in eyewear design. The tiny retro glasses were not half as interesting as what was designed in the three preceding decades. However, in Germany things were better than in the Netherlands These glasses by Morie are a fine example, not just because of the lively colors but also because of the unusual frame shape. The mild reading add in the progressive lenses indicates that the first owner of the glasses was a lady in her forties.
