Glasses: Whitney, late 1950's

Clare has a PD of 58 which is fairly small but she does not have a narrow face. So I selected these vintage Whitney glasses with her PD in mind. Nowadays, glasses like these would be considered small, but tiny glasses were considered entirely normal during the retro era (c 1988 - 2008). More important: all cay eye glasses from the classic era (c 1955 - 1963) were much smaller than modern cat eye glasses. This Whitney pair was considered average in size when it was made. Many large faced girls and women in need of glasses - not Clare who has an average face size - had to settle for pairs like this as the brands only offered frames in one size. In my opinion, the Whitney glasses look great on Clare. So be prepared for a walk down memory lane and let's see what her frame options would have been if she had been 23 years of age in the late 1950's and remained 23 throughout the 1960's....
