Drop temple glasses were quite popular during the early and mid 1980's. Small wonder that Specsavers included this style in their first collections after their start in 1984. Here Clare is showing the great attraction of drop temple glasses. The style vanished from the streets when retro glasses became fashionable in 1988 / 1989. Large frames finally came back twenty years later but so far, no brand has attempted to give drop temple glasses a revival. A pity!
