Wooden glasses appeared in 1966 but they did not sell and disappeared from the shop windows within a few months. A few years later, a company named Morel tried it again, this time with mixed materials: silver arms and imitation wooden front. I have no idea who Morel were but my collection hosts a few of their glasses and this pair is the nicest.
