Like the preceding pair, these Silhouette glasses were acquired in Austria during a period of bad weather which made mountain climbing too dangerous.
These bifocals belong to the company's final efforts at full rim frames before their switch to rimless glasses. Here Maria is showing the shadows of the demarcation line. Upon first sight, the reading segments seem far too low but it's the shadow of the demarcation line on the model's face and not the demarcation line itself. A nice optical illusion....
A word of thanks is due to the Silhouette company. A few years back, they kindly met my request to put a year of manufacture on a few dozen of the 100 Silhouette glasses in my collection. Nothing came out of similar requests to other brands. Thank you, Silhouette, much appreciated!
