Lydia 089

Orange glasses became highly fashionable during the mid 1960's and they were even considered a must for blondes. These were the few years after the cat eye era. The new frames were small and compact. After the love summer of 1967, frames gradually got bigger and new materials were introduced. This orange pair of bifocals shown by Lydia was bought for coppers and brass at the "Waterlooplein" flea market in Amsterdam during my early days as a collector.
