Leah 163

Leah consulting her friend Jack for the first time during the photo shoot. Note the way her left eye is visible above the lens and her right eye through the lens. Many amateur models pose this way in self portraits by deliberately fiddling with the frame. I don't know why this is so popular. It does not look natural, let alone attractive. Perhaps the underlying logic is found in the psychology of aesthetics: an attempt to show the viewer in one portrait what the lady looks like with and without glasses. By contrast, here Leah holds the glasses straight and the unusual effect is created by the strong minus lenses in combination with the choice of the vantage point.
