The marble structure of the frame is characteristic for the early and mid 1990's. These Ali glasses were acquired in Germany and I just found out that they were made in Germany as well. There is a faded inscription on one of the arms which turns out to be Metzler. They were a well known German brand in the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's but afterwards I lost track of them. Metzler always designed glasses for the conservative part of the market. Having said that, many of their glasses produce a fine blend with a lady's face and this Ali pair is no exception.
