Three edited versions of a portrait that required real precision work from both model and photographer. It took Margriet and myself a couple of minutes until the glasses were in the proper distance and perfect position. The Rx of these blended myodisc glasses is -16.25 for the left eye (from the model's perspective) and -17.25; cyl -2.00 o. The position of both bowls and their surrounding carrier lenses is clearly visible. The two floating objects near the model's right hand are a finger and the end of the arm of the glasses. The -2.00 cylinder in the right lens is visible as well in the way it changes the shape of the model's face. Note the double image of Margriet's left eye behind the lens for the right eye. This is caused by the gradual transition between the bowl and the carrier lens. An apt title for this portrait would be "Four eyes, four lips" :).
