Juliette 184 - 186

This Zenni pair was aptly called "the glasses with the little roses" by Farishta, a much acclaimed amateur model who posed for me in 2009 and 2010. It's interesting how changes in fashion influence one's assessment of frames. When I bought these glasses four years ago, they looked mainstream but now one would describe them as tiny. This pair was bought with an up coming photo shoot in mind. The model had a prescription of minus twelve or minus thirteen. Unfortunately, nothing ever came of it. When I met her to show some of the glasses and choose a day for the shoot, I noticed that she was seven months pregnant. She really looked exhausted so we agreed to postpone the shoot. Two months later, her baby was born but in a critical, double handicapped condition. I never raised the subject again as it was clear that she had other priorities. The glasses were subsequently featured in four photo shoots. Two models with almost perfect eyesight who could not see a thing through the strong lenses, and two models (Petra and Nel) who enjoyed almost perfect eyesight. Here Juliette joins their ranks. She was clearly amused - probably after some
wisecrack from my side. Good!
