In the early days of the "ladies behind Crystal Veil" project, I experimented with special light effects by placing a lamp with yellow light behind a lampshade of smoky glass. Here are two examples from the photo shoot with the great Carla, posing in the beautiful Flair glasses with blended myodisc lenses, Rx -14. After seeing her photos, Carla insisted that she would wear the Flair glasses during the catwalk at my first exhibition. I was worried that she might break her neck - her own prescription being only minus two. So she did a test round and succeeded remarkably well. Carla is nearly six feet tall and she stole the show when she appeared in the Flair glasses during the second round of the catwalk, keeping her balance on five inch spike heels (see video of the event on You Tube Lentilux). Carla was towering, impressively self assured - but above all beautiful. Moments never to be forgotten.
