When I started collecting glasses, my quest was all about prescription glasses, not about empty frames. Having said that, it sometimes occured that opticians and other collectors came up with extraordinary frames. I have a shoe box filled with these empty frames and hope to have some of those fitted with prescription lenses in the future. This Christian Dior is one of them as the shape is unlike anything else in my collection.
