Another find at the Waterlooplein flea market in the 1980's, these Celia glasses are among the most indistinct pairs in my collection. As a result, the glasses were only featured in two early photo shoots (Clarine 097, Farishta 234). Aiming at trend followers rather than trendsetters, German brands like Rodenstock, Metzler and Menrad deliberately avoided extravaganza. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with the Celia glasses on Clare's face and the lenses gave her almost perfect eyesight.
