Nicci has a great taste for glasses and she arrived at the photo shoot sporting a pair of Christian Dior glasses. Her fascination for these red glasses from the very first Dior collection was genuine and she was absolutely right! Everything about the frames in the first Dior collection was revolutionary - the new material (optyl), the short straight arms with the brand logo on them, the elementary colors, the bold shape - and in this case the open sides of the front added as a bonus. I was living in Switzerland when this first Dior collection appeared in the shop windows. Swiss ladies were always conservative in their frame choice but within weeks, the streets of Switzerland were full of beautiful girls and women in Christian Dior glasses. Those were the days....
