When given the chance, my preference is to do photo shoots on location. Many photographers prefer the studio as this gives them the opportunity to dictate the light conditions. It's also pointed out by some photographers that the studio walls are not distracting the viewer's attention from the model. My approach is different. Making documentaries about ladies in real prescription glasses implies showing them in everyday surroundings. It's obvious that light conditions on location can complicate the matter. Well, so be it. Editing this series of Sonia in the German glasses was a tightrope between gaining definition and reducing extreme effects.
