Throughout the 1960's and 1970's, the well known Rodenstock company from Germany had the nice policy of giving a lady's name to each new series of frames. Anita, Anja, Arabelle, Asna and so on. My collection hosts well over one hundred vintage Rodenstock glasses but unfortunately, none of these glasses is called Anna. Apparently Rodenstock did not choose the name although Anna was a not an uncommon name in Germany. This pair is called "Silvana" and I brought it to Paris with Anna in mind as the style might suit her - and indeed it did.
