In many cases, putting a specific year on a pair of vintage glasses is an educated guess but here I am certain that these Piave glasses were made in 1975. Early that year I met an art student and we started a relation that would last fourteen years. She was a shortsighted (minus six) brunette and disliked her solid, brown Bausch & Lomb glasses. It took little persuasion to take her to a series of optician's shops and our choice fell upon a pair of Piave glasses identical to the pair shown here by Iris, aside from the color which was purple.
