These giant Piave glasses are arguably the best example of a never to be forgotten era in the history of eyewear fashion. The love summer of 1967 brought us flower power and the arrival of the first hippies. Designers zoomed in on this new revolution and started experimenting with larger frames. This trend was frowned upon by some conservatives but it continued and eventually culminated in the giant frames of 1975. I have vivid and fond memories of those years.
