Sandra 037 - 038
The photo shoot with Sandra took place at the campus of Twente University, situated halfway between the towns of Hengelo and Enschede, near the Dutch-German border. Most of the photo shoot took place in the vicinity of a beautiful pond with a narrow, elongated artificial island covered with Rhododendron in full bloom. The standard procedure during my photo shoots is that model and photographer are seated about four feet from each other, with the tripod, camera and boxes filled with glasses between us. This procedure is rather static but it saves much time and it guarantees that the portraits will come out sharp. However, on a few occasions I throw in a bit of free hand shooting with model and photographer in a standing position. A matter of stretching the legs and also creating a welcome change in the background.
But let's talk glasses....
