Sandra 131 - 132
These Christian Olivier glasses belong to the real treasures in my collection and over the years, they have become a standard "testing piece" during photo shoots. The white frame is bold and striking but it's the lenses that really set this pair apart. They are so called "Formlenti", a myodisc in which the central "bowl" is not a circle but rather following the shape of the frame. The glasses must have cost a fortune and the intriguing thing is that they were made in the late 1980's when high index lenses had become available. No doubt, the first owner of these glasses made a deliberate choice for Formlenti to make a statement. Mission accomplished...
I don't remember where these beautiful glasses crossed my path but they have been in my collection since the mid 1990's.
