Another informal moment on the terrace in the presence of Wassja. This enabled me to choose this vantage point. It sometimes happens that models are surprised about my preferences of vantage points. This preference is mainly dictated by the size and shape of the glasses, in other words, it's completely functional. There is no way Monique could have produced the expression in this portrait without Wassja's presence. She could only "see" him in a massive blur through the strong lenses in the glasses so I asked Wassja to talk to Monique. For the same reason I'm always talking to models throughout the photo shoot, especially when they are posing in strong glasses. Acoustic navigation is essential to achieve the best results.
