Orange glasses were incredibly popular in the Netherlands from 1964 until the early 1970's. They were even considered a must for blondes. Opticians were rather strict in their advice about frames. Brown or black frames were for brunettes, orange frames were for blondes and that was it. Whoever made the opposite choice was frowned upon by her peer group.
