"Only their name is romantic. They are called Venus. I bought them at the Amsterdam flea market over thirty years ago. You are right about the frame shape. It's quite unique. By the way, how is your eyesight?"
"A touch better than the previous pair. Can you take a few pictures? It would be nice to show them to my husband if you can send them to me"
"Of course. My pleasure"
"The lenses in these glasses are badly scratched. Were they like this when you bought them?"
"Yes, they were. The first owner must have used them many years. Glasses were more expensive in the 1970's than they are nowadays. Next pair?"
