Farishta 1065
When my first two photo shoots were posted, Farishta was wide acclaimed and some followers even baptized her "Our Mona Lisa in glasses". This was high praise indeed and the followers certainly had a point. The major attraction of the original Mona Lisa portrait is its slightly enigmatic expression in the lady's posing. Books have been filled with attempts to describe what made the expression so intriguing. In many of her portraits, Farishta has a subtle touch that is hard to describe but once you have seen it, you are smitten with her. It may sound contradictory but this portrait has that touch in glorious plenty. It is my favorite from the entire series.
The most remarkable thing is that Farishta never did any photo shoots for other photographers so what has been posted here is her entire modelling career. Her subtle touch is not the result of schooling and a vast experience, it's not acting either. We are witnessing an implicit part of who she is.
This superb portrait marks the end of the section in myodiscs. It will be followed by an encore series which contained the model's own favorite portrait of the entire photo shoot.
For the record: this myodisc series consisted of thirteen portraits and only one of the originals is left out. It took us not more than a minute to take the thirteen portraits. Go with the flow, keep the flow and stop when you both feel that it might be starting to fade. In the words of Bob Dylan: "Don't think twice, it's alright".
Thank you so much, Farishta, you are a gem!
