Cazal designed and manufactured hundreds of frames during the 1980's. Much of their design was quite experimental and clearly not aiming at customers with a mainstream taste. However, the pair shown here by Iris is a notable exception. On the contrary, the Rx of the lenses is all but mainstream. The lens for the left eye is considerably stronger than the right lens. Opticians have the thumb rule that -3.00 difference between both eyes is the maximum that can be handled. Anyone with more difference should wear contact lenses. The first owner of these Cazal glasses was a German lady and my guess is that she only used her glasses part time. The glasses looked brand new when I got them some fifteen years after they were made. Iris experienced mono vision during the posing but she was not bothered by this. Better half an egg than none....
