Metzler from Germany produced glasses for many decades and my collection hosts some fifty pairs. The majority of Metzler design clearly aimed at clients wishing to follow current fashion trends without embarking into extravaganza. Here lovely Iris is showing a typical example of the Metzler style from the 1980's. Generally speaking, the 1980's brought a continuation of the large frames from the 1970's but most of the design was definitely more subtle and less chunky. I selected this pair for the photo shoot with Iris with the frame in mind but also for the Rx of the lenses. To her delight, Iris enjoyed perfect eyesight when she tried this Metzler pair. Good!
