I don't remember where these vintage cat eye glasses crossed my path. The style and material is early 1960's but cat eye glasses remained popular among elderly ladies in the UK as late as the 1990's. The famous Sliabh Luachra fiddler Julia Clifford sported an identical pair in the late 1960's so I call them "Julia Clifford's glasses". There is no anti-reflective coating on the lenses so the glasses are from the 1960's or 1970's. The glare adds a touch of mystery to this portrait.
