All amateur photography and even most professional and art photography was still done in black and white during the early 1960's. The example is followed here to add to the nostalgic feel of the vintage cat eye glasses. One big difference is that Katie is posing in a lovely, modern outfit. The late 1950's and early 1960's were the heyday of twinsets and pearl chains. This all changed within a few years and only elderly ladies were seen in twinsets afterwards. The whims of fashion....
