These glasses mark the end of the cat eye era in the Netherlands. From 1964 on, glasses were small and compact, without a trace of the cat eye design. A black and white version of this portrait is added for the nostalgic feel. All amateur photography in the Netherlands was done exclusively in black and white until the late 1960's.
