The year 1963 brought Beatlemania which was the start of many changes - in music but also in fashion and society in general. The Viennaline glasses shown here by Nefeli were among the very first pairs that indicated a change in eyewear. They are still cat eye glasses but the eyebrow lines are more straight than in the previous eight years. This short lived new style only lasted a year. Hint: if you check the the audience during many of the Beatles concerts in 1964 on You Tube, you will catch several glimpses of girls wearing these glasses.
