These classic Minerva cat eye glasses were acquired at the Waterlooplein flea market (Amsterdam) in the early 1970's. The lenses are a touch above the model's prescription but Nefeli bridged the -0.50 gap with ease. Most of the cat eye glasses bought in my early days as a collector are now crumbled, broken or too badly warped for use at photo shoots. The old plastics were not solid enough to survive half a century or more. Fortunately the Minerva glasses are still intact.
