Nefeli 030 - 033

Four "en profil" portraits of patient Nefeli showing the side of a lens in rimless glasses from the late 1970's. High index lenses did not exist and the fashion was very large frames. This meant that even lenses of minus five could be almost a centimeter thick at the sides. The problem was reduced - no doubt, at substantial extra cost - by splitting the side of the lens in two facets ( < ). Note the play of the light in the side of the lens.
