Julia 039
Smiling Julia in Laura di Borgia glasses made in Austria just over twenty years ago. The lenses are -0.75 below the model's own prescription but Julia could see me well as I was standing only four feet away from her. That's how it works.... A hint to photographers taking pictures of people wearing transition lenses: keep the glasses in your pocket (or ask the model to do so) and then take a few snaps as quickly as possible. Some transition lenses turn quite dark within say twenty seconds and these Laura di Borgia glasses belong to that category. If Julia had kept the glasses on for another 20 seconds, you would not see her eyes anymore. It is my belief that this is why transition lenses lost their attraction to many people after the 1970's.
