In 1972 or 1973, these Quadrette glasses by Neostyle were in an advert in a glossy magazine. It's message to ladies was that they should replace their outdated cat eye glasses or small frames from the mid 1960's for the large frames that were the new wave in fashion. Fifteen years later, it was a welcome surprise to come across these Quadrette glasses at the inexhaustible "Waterlooplein" flea market in my native Amsterdam. I recognized them straightaway from the advert and bought them for the princely price of one Guilder.
