Iris 219
"Perfect imperfection" is an expression that applies to beautiful ladies in glasses, showing that a minor handicap can be transformed into an additional aesthetic asset. The expression ran through my head during the editing process of this portrait, but for a different reason. These pink Packard glasses were acquired in one of the most posh parts of my country but the lenses have no anti-reflective coating at all. Perhaps their first owner only used them when her contact lenses were irritating her eyes. The glare in the lenses was incredible but the quality of posing by Iris is priceless so I spent an hour at the editing, removing as much of the glare as possible. I use the free editing offered by Picasa and removing excessive glare calls for endless mouse clicks, superposing an adjacent fragment on the part with the glare. Sometimes the glare is too much and the picture is a write off. This is as far as Picasa brought me. Perfect imperfection indeed :).
