Iris 199

Right after the love summer of 1967 there was a noticeable change in frame style, first in the shops and very soon afterwards in the streets as well. The new glasses were larger and often oval shaped. Iris is posing here in a typical example of that style. The glasses were made by the German company Rodenstock. They gave the name of a lady to each new series. A nice practice. The new style only lasted a few years and was soon replaced by larger frames in every shape and colour under the sun.
