Iris 083
Cazal made a series of spectacular glasses during the 1980's, creating a fine niche for themselves by aiming at clients who clearly went for glasses with a statement. Most of the Cazal design can only be described as "not for the fainthearted". My collection hosts a dozen Cazal glasses and here Iris is showing a characteristic example of their work. These Cazal glasses were shown to great effect in four previous photo shoots, with Carla (033), Astrid (017), Esther (054) and Melissa (006), all blondes. No doubt, these glasses must have cost a small fortune. Sadly, their first owner did not bother to invest in lenses with anti-reflective coating. She was probably a contact lens wearer who only used her glasses sporadically. The glare in the lenses was so abundant that Iris was forced to pose in an almost shy manner. Nevertheless, she delivered some fine portraits and there is nothing wrong with a bit of variety in a photo shoot.
