Although the 1990's were the first decennium of small retro glasses, a minority of the new frames remained large. These larger frames usually had a marble structure, which was a novelty. This style was clearly brought on the market for mature ladies in need of progressive lenses. Many clients were reluctant to make the switch to the dictate of tiny retro glasses. Progressive lenses are not comfortable in small frames and it's impossible to fit them into tiny frames. These stylish Sebastiano glasses are among the earliest examples of marble frames in my collection. After her concentrated posing in the Flair myodisc glasses, Sandra was clearly pleased to have a clear view again through the Sebastiano pair.
