Sandra 049
After my first photography exhibition with "Ladies behind crystal veil" (October 2010) I was approached by a colleague called Peter. He told me that his 88 year old father might be willing to part with several old glasses that had belonged to his wife. She died comparatively young and the father always kept the house pretty much the way it was. A few weeks later, Peter kindly gave me four pairs of glasses covering a span of two decades. These classic Nylor glasses shown here by Sandra are the earliest pair. The glasses soon became a top favorite among my models and they have been featured in well over a dozen photo shoots. Note the elegant curve in the arms. The nose bridge of the frame is rather wide which makes the glasses a perfect fit for models with a rather wide PD. It's interesting to compare these Nylor glasses with the bifocal "Tanja" pair by Rodenstock shown by Sandra earlier on. The Nylor glasses are the chic sister of the "Tanja" pair which was made around the same time. My sincere thanks go to Peter and his father for their wonderful contribution to the project.
