Simona 028 - 032
Here is the black and white version of the previous series of Simona posing in "Venus" glasses from the 1970's. Aside from being the female planet in our solar system - alas, offering nothing but poisonous gas and hellish heat - "Venus" was also the title of the very first number one hit in the USA by a Dutch pop group. The group, called "Shocking Blue", was built around master brain Robbie van Leeuwen and singer Mariska Veres, the daughter of a gypsy king. All the young men in Holland were dreaming of Mariska who looked stunning. Many years later, Mariska told the press that she was still a virgin during her years with the band and that no man ever made a pass at her. Robbie van Leeuwen who wrote the song "Venus" retired from the music scene soon afterwards. In a rare interview, a couple of years ago, he said that the royalties for that one song enabled him to go on retirement in his early thirties. Returning to Simona who is a full time model and actress, there was no hellish heat during her posing in "Venus" - on the contrary. Modest, polite and civilized were the key words that ran through my head after bringing Simona back to the train station. Simona is unique and a gem to work with. I don't remember the name of the model that dropped out but whoever she was, I'm glad she did, giving Simona the opportunity to jump in. Great!
