Beautiful Simona showing another striking pair of glasses from the 1970's. Again, it's the eyebrow line that is unusual but unlike the preceding Rodenstock pair, these glasses have been among the favourites of my models from the start of the project. The glasses are called "Venus" and quite deservedly so. I bought them at the famous "Waterlooplein" flea market in my native Amsterdam around 1986. The lenses are ever so slightly tinted (great) but rather scratched, indicating that "Venus" was liked and used frequently by her first owner. Minus two was not considered enough to necessitate full time wear in those days.
