Beautiful Katie posing in another classic pair of glasses. This is the very first generation of glasses made by Christian Dior and a real revolution in eyewear across the world. The style was immediately popular in Switzerland where many ladies could afford the high price of the Dior frames. Before 1976, ladies in Switzerland had always been lagging behind when it came to frame choice and it was amazing to see that they changed into front runners within a couple of months. By coincidence, I came across this pair in Switzerland during a rainy summer in the 1990's when mountain climbing was out of the question. But there are always the valleys and the glasses.... Regretfully, this is the only portrait of Katie in these Dior glasses that came out well. There was too much reflection in the lenses in the rest of the series but this portrait came out fine. In my opinion, the Dior glasses really suit Katie quite well. Feel free to disagree....
