Lydia 030
These nameless glasses from Italy have been part of my collection for at least fifteen years. No clue where I got them. Probably during my rambles at the south coast of England or perhaps during a trip to Wales, two years later. Anyway, the glasses surfaced when the project started and they were - and are - popular among my models. Small wonder, the frame has an elegant shape and the subtle contrast between the gold and silver is unusual but quite attractive. No doubt, the glasses were bought by a lady of wealth and taste. My guess is that she was in her early forties and these were her first glasses with progressive lenses. Note the difference between the lenses. The lens in front of Lydia's right eye is stronger. This may have been the reason why the first owner of the glasses settled for progressives.
