Lydia 004
My photo shoots are about prescription glasses but as these had to be stored in the hand luggage during the flight, only 140 pairs could travel with me to Ireland. This seemed a narrow selection for a long series of photo shoots with a dozen models so I squeezed a small box with empty frames in my big rucksack to give a bit more choice to the models. Imagine the variety to be expected - facial shape, PD, hair colour and so on. Eventually, seven models turned up. Once you have them face to face, the Irish are great.... but I had learned my lesson from the trip in April where four out of seven models turned up :).
Another reason to bring some empty frames was that this time, many models had a very mild prescription and some models needed no glasses at all. Starting their photo shoots with a couple of empty frames would serve as a mellow introduction before using the prescription glasses. Lydia kindly sent me her prescription and it was very mild indeed. She only puts up her own glasses when she feels a bit of eye strain because of the astigmatism. Unfortunately, the receipt did not include her PD which turned out to be rather large. Anyway, this large Cazal frame was quite suitable for Lydia so we selected it as an appetizer for her photo shoot. Not bad going when you can start your shoot in Cazal style!
